نسخه نمایشی ویندوز 7 در همایش D6 ارائه شد

روز سه شنبه هفته گذشته بدون هرگونه اعلام قبلی و پس از حضور بیل گیتس و استیو بالمر در همایش D6 به حاضرین این مژده داده شد که برای آنان یک نسخه آزمایشی از ویندوز 7 به نمایش گذاشته می شود.

از نکات برجسته نسخه آزمایشی ویندوز 7 می توان به قابلیت Multitouch Interface آن اشاره کرد که در حقیقت بصورت درونی در سیستم عامل پشتیبانی از صفحه نمایش لمسی افزوده شده است. نمونه ی چنین فناوری پیش از این در رایانه های Surface دیده شده بود که کاربران با استفاده از دستان خود می توانستند تصاویر را از روی یک صفحه نمایش جابجا، بزرگ و کوچک و یا بچرخانند.

بطور مثال، بخشی از فناوری Multitouch Interface در نرم افزار Windows 1.0 Paint بکار خواهد رفت و بدین ترتیب شما با لمس یک صفحه نمایش تصاویر دلخواه را ترسیم خواهید کرد. و یا در نرم افزار Piano موجود در ویندوز شما با دستان خود می توانید به نواختن موسیقی بپردازید. از دیگر قابلیت های ویندوز 7 می توان به Task bar آن اشاره داست که آن نیز توسط فناوری لمسی کار خواهد کرد.

در این همایش بیل گیتس بصورت کاملاً اجمالی توضیحاتی پیرامون وضعیت مدیریت فایل ها، امنیت، درایورهای قابل پشتیبانی و دیگر امکانات این ویندوز ارائه کرد. او در این زمینه چنین می گوید: "نشان دادن اطلاعات بیشتر با توجه به وقت بسیار اندکی که در اختیار ما بود یعنی 5 دقیقه امکان پذیر نبود ... امنیت و سرعت نکات دیگری است که بر روی آنها کار شده است."

به گفته ی استیو بالمر از مدیران ارشد کمپانی مایکروسافت، نسخه نهایی ویندوز 7 در سال 2009 میلادی روانه بازار می شود.
